Here is a twist on the origami stars, fill them with candy or small toys for party favors. I used wrapping paper that was 4 inches wide by 40 inches long. Avery loved these large stars and it wasn't too long before she shook them and realized there was a surprise inside.
Here is my video on
how to fold these stars.

You are so clever! I think this is a great idea for small gifts and I always have skinny leftovers of wrapping paper.
This is so cool! I didn't see your previous instructions but these were perfect!
I never thought about making lucky stars this big before, it looks awesome! A nice way of whacking in lots of small items in one package. x
Those are so cute! I remember kids in school making tiny ones like this but never thought about making them in jumbo size. Adorable!
i love your site - such clever ideas! i've tried making jumbo stars from receipt paper but just couldn't get them to puff properly. i'll have to try again; yours are too cute!
I love stars! Its my most favorite shape. Great idea! I'll be doing this.
Thanks for your great idea! We have made those stars before.... little ones. This is how I will wrap my christmas presents this year. Will have to buy small presents to fit into the stars ;)
Thanks!!!
